ITE tests the steel plates conforming to IS 2062 and various tests are done to do the confirmation. Tensile Test as per IS 1608 is one of those tests which is very important in understanding the tensile properties of the plate to be used. Properties like Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS), Yield Stress (YS) and % Elongation are obtained which are then matched with the tables provided in IS 2062 for their conformation with different grades.
